It’s just another Saturday morning (or so it might seem). The sun began to fill the sky, just minutes ago. Birds are looking to get a worm that later will be harder to find. Then the melody of the morning starts in. First a single tap, tap, tap of a lone hammer accompanied by the periodic buzz of a power saw. Soon more hammers join in and the tune comes alive. It isn’t long until the aroma of a savory feast curing on a nearby grill fills the air. By noon more than 30 - 40 volunteers will have been a part of assisting a neighbor with a minor fix-up/clean-up type of building project and are settling into lawn chairs to share a meal and time of friendship.
ALL4ONE sets the Neighbors Helping Neighbors standard by which everything else we do is measured. Since 1999, nearly 15,000 man hours provided by community volunteers have been invested to complete over 70 projects. It just goes to show what can be accomplished when Neighbors:
